LONG TIME GONE - ALIVE
Great cover of Pearl Jam's Alive by Long Time Gone at Jolly Farmer's Purley 19/03/2016.
Band on top form , great guitars, amazing drums and if the vocalist hadn't let on, nobody would have known he'd been laid up for days with a chest infection.
One brilliant night and regards this track...it's amazing to think that now it's passed the 25 year age mark it can now officially be classed as Classic Rock!!

Ruby Red Live at The Old Chestnut in Redhill on 24/07/2015. Great gig in the end ...one best described as a slow burner. Everyone seemed quite shy until this got 'em all dancing and then they stayed on the floor for the rest of the night :-)
PERFECT STRANGERS - Speed King

Perfect Strangers not so much a tribute band but a celebration of Deep Purple's music put on a great show at The Jolly Farmers on 24/06/2015. A good healthy turnout for the lads as well on a Wednesday night to enjoy all the classics one of which is featured here from 1970's Deep Purple In Rock :-)

Yep The Titanic Dance Band once again conquer a song that most other bands fear to touch! ;-) Storming cover of the song that launched Showaddywaddy on New Faces in 1974....and how sad am I for knowing that! ;-)

Had a great afternoon at The Plough in St Johns for their annual charity event. As ever The Titanic Dance Band were the band to provide the musical entertainment and they were in superb form, here they perform a great version of an Alice Cooper classic It had been noted that drummer Steve Mackenzie had now been in the band for around a year and still there were no video footage of him playing w...

Why don't more bands cover Dr Feelgood songs?...so damned good! Well you can count on Boston Brew to give you what you want to hear, such a great band - hope Wilok sees this! From the final night of the Brew's first farewell tour at The Cherry Trees in South Norwood! Me thinks people power will prevent their premature demise!
BOSTON BREW - TRAIN KEPT A ROLLIN'
Просмотров 1719 лет назад
The awesome Boston Brew at their first farewell gig!! Originally recorded by Tiny Bradshaw in 1951 before Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio gave it a rockabilly working over in the mid fifties. The most famous version is probably by The Yardbirds in 1965. More recently it was dragged kickin' and a screamin' and I guess a rollin' into the hard rock world by Aerosmith in 1974. Boston Bre...

This is a fairly new addition to the set and this latest version of The Doors classic shook The Barley Mow to it's foundations in Hersham on 24/01/2015. Alan Gidden's bass just thunders along on this one and as for Stevie T on lead...well there isn't a superlative that does the fella justice! Viv still finds the time to do her hair mid rock out near the end as well! ;-) x Great stuff from the R...

GODSIZED Moving On - The Haunt, Brighton 06/03/2013
Still sounds good in 2024
I made it back to before and it is great!
I was just thinking.....
Thank you for posting this. This song has been passed down in my family for 100 years. My grandparents had made some changes to the melody (improvements in my opinion) as they would sing it during long trips and at family gatherings. I'm just guessing, but they probably heard this recording either on the radio or on a record and performed it from memory throughout their lives.
Ave it! 🫡🤘
This is also a cover version. Billy Murray did not record it originally but Sir Harry Lauder. His version has been lost and not available on the internet

Great!!!
He's brilliant!
Dorking bi-pass, zig-zag road to Box Hill. Many a day for this Rocker in the 60s.
Wasn't this originally called the Somerset Gigolo?
Beautiful color!
Great song another favourite of mine
Why do we not hear this band on the radio
always loved this..... thanks!
Rolf Harris did the cover version of that song in 1968 and it was number 1 in the UK hit parade
That idiot with the dreadlocks waving his fist around on the left is me!! hahahahaha what a dork
I thought it was the Somerset Gigolo?
Let's see, 1986.. My with a stage two cam, big bot kit, hardtail chop with 5 gal fat bobs, wide glide front end and an FLX seat... Max speed 137 MPH... bit slow compared to the 180MPH fireblade, and it didn't handle as well either, scrapping the slash cut downpipes around every corner even at 40MPH... Ah I do miss those days, and all the women it pulled for me.. Fireblade is useless for that
''Anyone here from Oxford? Lmfao!
That's where I am!
ROCKNROLL AND BEERS ALL NIGHT 🍺🍺🍺🎸🔊👊
i love this band
this is a good band
Aren't the first bar or two basically a Led Zepplin cover? - then it sorta goes it's own way.......... Gotta love a good bit of "pub rock".
Brilliant!
Brilliant song but can't get it up on Google play to add to my playlist....grrrrr
I hope you see this ♥️zappy
awesome Dudes \,,/
I didn't know Willie Nelson could play the accordion like that! (sorry just joking. But maybe he could take it up!)
Man! When I was 8 I wanted this album so badly! My brother actually wrapped up a Glen Miller album and put it under the tree for me. I cried when I opened it! I was so disappointed. Mom made him give me this real package he was hiding. I know all these by heart almost 50 years later.
It was/is a beautiful album Mary. Brings back so many fond memories for this 17 year old back in the Autumn of 73.
AWESOME
I was there!
And what a band you were Neil, such a shame you guys split.
🏇🐎🎠🐎🎠🏇FABULOUS SONG ⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘BILLY MURRAY 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟LOVELY SINGER
Theys guys really rock!
By far the best part of their concerts
Always loved the sweet guitar solo by Russ Ballard ex of Argent. At the time I was 17 and was working on building sites and used to love it when this came on my radio. The 'Girl' I was Thinking about back then was Christine. God, I wonder what she's doing now.
Thanks Graham!!! 👍
Suddenly it's 1986 again, and I have hair :D
Kingston pub 1985? loved it. rock&roll
I saw Dumpy's a shitload of times between 1985 and 1987, mainly in London -brilliant band live i bought them all a pint at in Croydon, and they still haven't returned the favour..... Supporting Hawkwind was the high point - then got stoned on the fumes of the Hawkwind fans.......
We need to duet Shane.... don't forget the lyrics
The Somerset Trouser Varney Shakedown. (Varney, not Varmint)! Lol

great shots; great band
Two little boys had two little toys Each was a wooden horse Gaily they played each summer's day Warriors both of course One little chap then had a mishap Broke off his horsy's head Wept for his toy then cried with joy As his young camarade said If you think I could leave you crying When there's room on my horse for you Climb up here Joe and don't be sighing It can go just as fast with two When we grow up we'll both be soldiers And our horses will not be toys Then I wonder if you'll remember When we were two little boys Long years had passed, war came at last Gaily they marched away Cannon roared loud, in the mad crowd Wounded and dying Jack lay Loud rings of cry, a horse dashes out From of the ranks so blue and Gallops away to where Jack lay As a voice comes from and through Did you think I could leave you dying When there's room on my horse for you Climb up here Jack we'll soon be flying To the ranks of the boys in blue Did you say Jack I'm all a-tremble Well perhaps it's the battle's noise Or it's maybe that I remember When we were two little boys
Btw still got the spider pic disc
Saw these supporting someone lol i remeber spider not main act these guys gave away free sweets and gums amazing band are you guys gonna tour again
